Some of the stars of Australian Cricket promoted NFT's a few years ago in their hype stage and everyone lost money. Needless to say all of them retracted their presence from tv, radio, SM and even official ICC events due to some very pointy threats.

NFTs are a complete scam. Just like crypto. Unfortunate because people getting rich are only the top people who can afford to lose the money. The suckers that buy this stuff end up holding the bag its basically a pyramid scheme.

I think the most upsetting part of all the NFT bullshit is how absolutely atrocious all the "art" is. It's utter garbage. Like, not even remotely decent caricatures. I swear all the "artists" were hired from Fiverr.
Edit: to be clear, I'm just being hyperbolic, cos I fuckin haaate the art they used. But I vs the worst part is how so many people were effectively conned, and how many terrible people got rich off of it all.

It's nothing short of a miracle that 4 of these NFT projects weren't full on scams and are still going on. Like Gary Vee and Bieber's NFT. Its very surprising that they are doing decent. Still have no idea why anyone would ever invest in fucking NFT. It sounds like the dumbest thing ever.
