The big boss of the massive social network has made a public announcement that Twitter users will soon be able to make money through subscription. This allows users to send tweets, images, and videos exclusively to their paying subscribers.
In an effort to diversify revenue streams, Twitter, Tesla, and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced on Friday that the social media network would take a 10% cut on content subscriptions after the first year.

Following news that the billionaire earns nearly $100,000 monthly from its 24,700 subscribers on Twitter, the decision to make the change was made. Now that Musk wants users to make money, too, he’s giving them a chance to keep all the money they make in the first year from their posts.
If successful, this idea might completely alter how people on the social media site monetize their material. Similar to how YouTube and Patreon artists sell their material, the new tool would let content creators earn money directly from their fans.

The newest update focuses on the user experience and aims to increase interaction among followers and generate additional revenue for the social media site.
Stripe is Twitter’s payment processing partner. Profits for account holders begin at just $50, and they can earn rewards of up to 97% on all income up to $50,000. Additionally, monthly subscriptions are automatically renewed and are not subject to a refund policy.
