My only, and I mean ONLY problem with Full Dive VR that reads brain waves is the potential for the technology to be abused and read thoughts. It's enough that our phones are listening to us, but with the ability to read and translate thoughts into usable information Full Dive VR could be used as a tool by companies and politicians to deceive the public. If there's some way to guarantee that at least some headsets were certified not to do that I'd be much less worried and much more hyped.
For example, I would only trust a company owned by an individual not affiliated with the government as a politician to give certifications to headsets. One way I could see the technology being forced to be unable to collect data is allowing the headset to still read those thoughts, the headset processes everything it needs to on its own about those thoughts, or by using external hardware directly linked to it, and only having the hardware capability to send the data it NEEDS to for the games to be played.
At my age (in my 30's) id just be happy to get a decent sword art online game in vr! My life would be complete! 😊
