Multinational video gaming giant, Square Enix, has launched a new non-fungible token collection to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its popular game Final Fantasy VII. Square Enix has partnered with Enjin to create the new NFT collection.
Square Enix Taps Enjin To Launch New NFTs
In a March 31 announcement, Square Enix confirmed the launching of a new NFT collection dubbed ‘The Final Fantasy VII Anniversary Art Museum Digital Card Plus’ to celebrate 25 years since the official launching of its Final Fantasy VII.

Established in 2003, Squire Enix is a global video production and entertainment company based in Tokyo, Japan. The Japanese video gaming firm is best known for its computer role-playing game franchise such as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Star Ocean, and Kingdom Hearts, among others.
In partnership with Enjin, a blockchain protocol focusing on gaming and NFTs, Square Enix has launched a new NFT collection, which can be collected physically and digitally. The new NFT collection features a limited set of 207 artworks, each holding 20 card packs.
Final Fantasy VII NFTs Overview
The Final Fantasy VII Anniversary Art Museum Digital Card packs feature an exchange ticket that holders can redeem for a digital card or NFT of their choice. Square Enix requires users to download an Enjin wallet app and create an account to acquire the new digital trading cards.
Square Enix has divided the FFVII Anniversary Art Museum Digital Card Plus collection into 99 normal cards, 99 premium foil version cards and 3 “Secret Cards.” The remaining three cards out of 207 from each normal and premium card have been described as “another normal” card.
It is not the first time Square Enix has launched NFTs. Last month, Square Enix partnered with Polygon to launch a gamified art-collecting experience dubbed Symbiogenesis. The video game publisher uses NFTs to engage with its fans on a deeper level.
