How does regulation help with hacks? Regulation from what country? USA? the 4% of the world population. Do you think it will stop somebody to start a defi protocol in Zimbabwe? Oh no, Garry don't want me to send eth to them so I am not going to do it. But regulation for who? Corporation? they can already invest in Bitcoin, no regulation needed. Rob, I think an important thing to say about the hacks….. is that they are the on /off ramps. Solana didn't get hacked, BNB didn't get hacked. None of the protocols got hacked. It was defi on and off ramps of illegitimate "actors"…..
Regulation is good for certain protections, but it's also bad because there is 1 quadrillion in derivatives in traditional products. Regulation will lead to the same kind of gambling and manipulation by banks and big $$$ institutions and hedge funds.
Free market is best for intelligent investors, that don't want to be robbed and manipulated by the 1%
I like the idea of some minimal regulation but it should come from People in the space like Charles Hoskins , not from Corrupt Government or evil Bankers. We don’t want the Banks or institutions involved in regulation because they are just Bad people! FACT. Plus they are not intelligent enough.
Testing is WRONG and very Bad, because many peolle don’t do well in tests. The sensible way is through education and teaching g peolle about the product & once they have read about it, done a short course, one day 3 modules whatever ! Then they can invest their $ 10 bucks.

I agree with most of your points, but MAN… DEFI is just not it. It’s an actual ponzi. Where are the yields actually coming from? Could you please make a video to explain this if you TRULY believe in DeFi? IMO all it’s good for is to print money to push a bull market then rug people. To me, the legit crypto sectors are data related crypto, backends (infrastructure), actual metaverse (not the fake projects), Web3, small portion of gaming, and social media
IMO, I think a great regulation to have for crypto is a 'dead man's switch' which says that if you don't have any activity or access to a wallet for 180 days (or custom time), the contents get transferred to a custodial system. That way you losing your keys isn't the end of the world.

Thinking that this regulations could help reduce the chances of getting rug pulled is a mistake. Regulations could affect the market and profits to be made. Why not just allow at least reliable and proven cryptocurrencies to be officially adopted? I mean this is quite a reasonable step since cryptos like Tether USDT and Bitcoin BTC already have experience as legal tender in countries or cities around the world.
