I love how delusional he is, "the people don't lose any money, google restores all accounts" TIME is money friend, losing control over your account for just two days, for some of the medium to big name creators, means upwards of hundreds if not thousands of dollars, not just because you can't interact with your community through your channel, but when other scammers buy your account and upload garbage, you lose credibility, which means even more money down the drain and with the stress, who can produce more content, plus you have to sit down and send out emails and do damage control on social media and that's just the money side for the creator and their company.

There's also the people falling for the scams that the buyers are making.
Small businesses will have a harder time making sponsorships, because they aren't a recognizable name, because of the distrust.
The potential of ad revenue not counting in the period.
Having to deal with a bunch of back end work for the creator and the people having to restore the account.
Potential of irreversible content and guidelines strikes.
ETC.

In conclusion they make damages worth more than they are paid even if they get $10,000.

This just kind of proved that most scammers don't actually know what they're doing, they don't think things through, they just heard money and didn't look into it further, which is on the same level as malicious intent, in my eyes.

Hey Sully! I just discovered your video today. I am a victim of this exact same scam.

Back in Nov 30 2022, I received a phishy email from a gaming company that wanted to buy a sponsor ad from me to promote their upcoming game on my animation channel. In hindsight, I should have seen the red flags, Im a noob when it comes to this sponsorship deals. Ive only had more real successful sponsor. And it was right before the holiday rush, so I could have used the cash.
They asked me to download a win.rar folder with the contract to read and sign along with some assets to use for the ad. As soon as I opened the phishy PDF (the file extension was a Screen Saver type) and BOOM it grabbed all my cookies and my Youtube login was stolen.

It took 11 stressful days to get my Youtube channel back. I lost 2k subs and lost all my viewership momentum, and I was so close to 100K. I was hoping to hit that before the end of the year. Get that 100k button to celebrate the New Year, but nope.

FinnMK actually reached out to me and really coached me through the process. He was a massive help to calmly get through the process when I was a nervous wreck.
And thanks to your video, I feel like I can get some closure on this awful event. I really hope this entire organized group gets served a dose of justice.
I want to thank you for doing this, I wish I had seen this video sooner. I have been struggling emotionally and financially since the hijacking. These f*ckers don't realize what this kind of scam does to people, emotionally at least. I've tightened up my security and I am more self-aware, but my peace of mind and sense of creativity is completely shot.

I really do hope the work you put into taking down these f*ckers does lead to something. Big thank you for doing this.

Wow sully, i think its amazing you called on the scam as it did affect the creator of those bots you have, aaron fechter. but as a poor musician and such, i think its kinda sad you have to keep ripping on this person. its a huge group man, they're probably going through things especially since they live in russia. I think the guy is just trying to get a making, but just rippin this one person i think is morally incorrect, i think both sides are wrong in their own way. but its great you exposed them, i just think you shouldnt have been ripping on this one person despite its a group. :/
