If private equity capital doesn't buy heavy into bitcoin, there will be too much risk to form a third market when the asset market takes a dump in 2025 which is coming, if they DO buy into it; they can always offset the stock/real estate devaluation by going into crypto. More than that they can manipulate the price of crypto by a massive sell off and force the government to create government regulated wallets that are administered by private equity intermediaries thereby getting closer to capital controlled exchanges, a true cashless society.
