The Bellatrix hard fork, the last major upgrade before Ethereum moves from proof-of-work (PoW) to proof-of-stake (PoS), has been activated. The purpose of this upgrade is to ensure validators are producing updated Beacon Chain blocks that will set up the codebase ahead of the Merge. Ethereum is now worth more than half of bitcoin’s marketcap for the first time since early 2018 at the peak of flippening speculation.

Always great content…I would be very interested in your evaluation of the Stacks STX project as a layer 1 on BTC…if BTC eventually becomes the standard wouldn't STX be a good project to invest in…to have smart contracts, defi, NFT's, etc… tied to the BTC secure network? Eth is captured by Chinese Communist Party Government Eth block chain interoperability for NFTs. Polkadot too among others. This is a manipulation attack vector for Eth.
Is there any doubt VASIL will go off without a hitch? Nope, the ada ecosystem just needs time to grow(which it is). Meanwhile we have actual reason to doubt Eth can pull this off. No chance ETH goes to 2500 on 9/20. Both of these guys know that "sell the news" is going to happen either way the merge goes with eth. They just dont want to say it because they are in the know.
Ethereum is simply doomed to fail post merge. The lack of any price momentum or support 1 week out from merge is a clear indication that many in the market will not support PoS ETH, besides its also obvious it still doesn't function properly at all…

I think a lot of hype about crypto-currencies comes from miners and the community around them.
Once ETH goes to proof-of-stake, I think it will lose a lot of support from the community, gradually, and be over-taken by other cryptos.

Gareth is wrong on Russian gas. Heavy indusry relies on natural gas because of it heating properties, electricity is much "weaker". The only way Europe could replace russian gas is through shipment of liquified natural gas, because pipelines under the sea is way more expensive (from middle east or Africa), or smuggleing russian gas (like it does now throug India and China)
