My personal thoughts – Coinbase investment arm extending interest in RP is the first of many major catalysts that await us these next 6 months – the great reshuffling of withdrawals + LEB8 + SaaS
While many join RP seek a decentralized, permission-less protocol to generate greater NO yield or derivative staking yield, centralized exchanges may also be leaning in.
To be clear – Coinbase would not wield any sole authority over RP other than their 1 vote as a potential oDao member of 16. 51% needed to approve any oDao proposals. pDao is not impacted nor would the overall decentralization standing.
Household name choosing to be involved in RP reinforces the value we all see. The partnership provides exposure and a chance to create collaborative opportunities. Upon potentially joining, their main duty is to act in the best interest of RP and run price oracles held accountable by other members and the community.
