The event took place in the Kia Forum arena, which comedian and roast host Kevin Hart jokingly pointed out in his opening monologue, saying:

Adding to the topic, comedian Nikki Glaser also took a swipe at Brady for his involvement with FTX, highlighting his personal loss of $30 million in crypto.
While poking fun at Brady, Glaser actually laughed at crypto as a whole. The punchline involved Brady’s former teammate Rob Gronkowski—who was often humorously targeted about his intellect—saying that even he knew crypto was not “real money.”
Brady’s financial connection with FTX started in 2021 and extended beyond promotions, as he and his ex-wife took an equity stake in the company. The two, alongside other celebrity endorsers of FTX, were named in a class-action lawsuit filed in 2022, which accused them of taking advantage of “unsophisticated investors” in favor of the crypto exchange.
