Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based video game company, announced a recruitment effort for 13 new positions to integrate its game titles with Web3 and metaverse technologies.

The game developer is planning to launch a service that allows players to trade in-game non-fungible token (NFT) items on a blockchain-based distribution platform, Konami said in a press release.Newly open positions include roles such as designer, system engineer, programmer, project manager and in intellectual property.Along with Konami, several major Japanese game makers such as Square Enix and Sega have moved this year to incorporate Web3 technology into their games and intellectual property.
