Rapper Aubrey Graham, better known as Drake, has once again lost a large amount of Bitcoin (BTC) in a sports bet.
This time, he bet $300,000 worth of Bitcoin on the Canadian national soccer team to beat Argentina in the Copa América semi-final.
If Canada had won, Drake would have earned $2.88 million. However, Argentina’s 2-0 victory, which included a goal from Lionel Messi, sent Argentina to the finals and eliminated Canada.

This loss adds to Drake’s recent streak of betting setbacks; he lost $1 million in June alone. Despite the financial loss being minor for someone like Drake, it highlights a tough period in his betting activities.
Drake placed his bets through the crypto betting platform Stake, where he serves as a brand ambassador. He then posted placing the bets on social media as part of his promotional activities for the platform.
After the match, Argentina’s social media team mocked Drake by posting a photo with the caption, “Not like us, not with us.”
This was a clear jab at Drake, referencing “Not Like Us,” a diss track released by rapper Kendrick Lamar during their feud. The song contains several harsh claims against Drake and is widely seen as the best track in their series of diss songs.
Thus, Drake’s betting woes continue with a significant loss, and Argentina does not hesitate to rub salt in the wound with its cheeky social media post.
